Greek Sculpture

Ancient Greeks had sculptures depicting gods and goddesses, royalty, animals, and sports, like Olympic events. Greek pottery depicted stories, myths, everyday life, and sports as well.

A statue of the god Hermes.

This is a bronze statue of the God Zeus, the Ruler of gods.

A statue of the goddess of love, Aphrodite.

This is Hades and Cerberus.

The God Apollo.

This is Athena.

This is the Goddess, Hera.

This is Ares.

A statue of a discus thrower (Discobolus).
